How does the WiFi connection work?

Preparing for connection:

With the ‘ecofort SMART’ app, you can operate the device via your home network. This requires a permanent WiFi connection to your modem or router.


  1. Install the ‘ecofort SMART’ app and create a user account.
  2. Activate the Wi-Fi function by pressing and holding the Auto button on the device.
  3. Place the device within range of your router.
  4. Once the device is switched on, the Wi-Fi indicator will flash. If no network connection is established, this status will be cancelled after 3 minutes and the indicator will go out. If you want to re-establish the Wi-Fi connection, press the Auto button for 5 seconds to restart the network configuration; the Wi-Fi indicator will flash again.


Connection with the app:


Method 1: Connection via Bluetooth

Activate Bluetooth on your mobile phone or tablet. 


When the Wi-Fi indicator on the device flashes, open the ‘ecofort SMART’ app and select ‘Add new device’; the device will connect automatically via Bluetooth.


Method 2: Connection via Wi-Fi

When the Wi-Fi indicator on the device flashes, select ‘Add device’, category “Dehumidifier” and ‘CaveMaster’ on your smartphone or tablet.


Check the status of the Wi-Fi indicator on the device; if the Wi-Fi indicator is flashing, please confirm and press ‘Continue’.


Enter the name and password of your Wi-Fi network, confirm and wait 1-2 minutes for the connection, then press ‘Finish’.


Note: Once the device has been successfully connected, the Wi-Fi indicator will light up continuously. You can now operate the device via the app.

Note: Press and hold the Auto button for approx. 5 seconds to disconnect from the device. The Wi-Fi indicator light will flash until reconnected or will turn off completely after 3 minutes if no connection has been established.
