How does the connection to the ecofort SMART app work?

Information about the ecofort SMART App
This application allows you to operate the device via your home network. A permanent Wi-Fi connection to your router and the “ecofort SMART” app (iOS & Android) are required.
Wi-Fi Connection
To connect your device, the “ecofort SMART” app must be installed on your smartphone or tablet and a user account must be created (follow the instructions in the app).
Your smartphone or tablet must have an active Wi-Fi connection to the local network in which the dehumidifier is being used.
Automatic Connection
Bluetooth must be enabled on your smartphone or tablet during the connection process.
Switch on the device
Open the “ecofort SMART” app
Select “Add device”; available devices will be displayed
Tap “Add” and the device will be added automatically
Manual Connection
If your device is not detected automatically, you can find it under “Add manually” at the bottom of the screen.
Select “Dehumidifier” and then choose your specific model
Follow the instructions in the app
Note: Once the device has been successfully connected, the Wi-Fi indicator light on the device will remain permanently illuminated. You can now control the device from anywhere using the app.
Disconnection
Press and hold the fan speed button for approximately 5 seconds to disconnect the device; the Wi-Fi indicator light will turn off.
The device can also be disconnected via the app by deleting the corresponding device.
Note: If another user connects to the device, the existing connection will be disconnected and the device will be removed.
