Question
What do I need to bear in mind when commissioning an ecoQ DryAir 20L Energy Saver?
Answer
Place the dehumidifier in an upright position on a stable, level surface. Before switching it on for the first time, it is a good idea to ensure that the device has been standing upright for several hours to protect the compressor, as it is sometimes transported in a horizontal position.
The dehumidifier should also be placed at a safe distance of at least 50 cm from a wall or piece of furniture. The supply voltage should match the value on the type plate and the socket must be earthed. In addition, the dehumidifier must never be placed directly next to a radiator or heating appliance.
The power cable should be easily accessible and must not be damaged by sharp edges or crushed in any way during use. The tank must also be inserted correctly. If the tank is full or not seated correctly, the ‘Tank Full’ indicator lights up and the dehumidifier stops dehumidifying.
If part of your home suffers from high humidity, the dehumidifier can be placed there first and then moved to another part of the house later.
If the dehumidifier is switched off and then immediately switched on again, it takes approx. 3 minutes to reach full power (compressor is back in operation). In the event of a power failure, it switches back on automatically as soon as the power supply is restored.
The dehumidifier works best at normal room temperature; its efficiency decreases when the ambient temperature falls below 15 °C.
