ecoQ DryAir 30L Essential – Commissioning

Question

What should I consider when commissioning an ecoQ DryAir 30L Essential?

Answer

Place the dehumidifier in an upright position on a stable, level surface. Before switching it on for the first time, it is advisable to ensure that the device has been standing upright for at least 12 hours in order to protect the compressor, as the unit may have been laid on its side during transport.

The dehumidifier should also be positioned at a safe distance of at least 30 cm from walls or furniture. The supply voltage must match the value stated on the rating plate, and the power outlet must be grounded. In addition, the dehumidifier must never be placed directly next to a radiator or other heating appliance.

The power cable should be easily accessible and must not be damaged by sharp edges or pinched in any way during operation. The water tank must also be correctly inserted. If the tank is full or not properly positioned, the “Tank Full” indicator lights up and the dehumidifier stops dehumidifying.

If a particular area of your home is affected by excessive humidity, the dehumidifier can initially be placed there and later moved to another area of the house.

The dehumidifier works best at normal room temperature; its efficiency decreases when the ambient temperature falls below 15 °C.
