ecoQ DryAir 12L – Cleaning and maintenance

Question

What do I need to bear in mind when cleaning and maintaining the device?

Answer

Before moving or cleaning the device, please disconnect it from the mains and empty the water tank. 

Cleaning the housing

Clean the housing with a soft damp cloth and then dry it with a dry cloth; use a mild cleaning agent for heavy soiling. Never use volatile chemicals, petrol, cleaning agents, chemically treated cloths or other cleaning solutions. These can damage the housing. 

Cleaning the water tank

After a certain amount of time, deposits will build up in the water tank. Clean these deposits with a brush and washing-up liquid. Then rinse the water tank with clean water. Finally, dry the outside with a dry cloth.

Cleaning the air filter

The ecoQ DryAir 12L dehumidifier is equipped with a dust filter. Check the dust filter regularly and clean it if necessary to allow free air flow through the device and thus ensure efficient and gentle operation of the ecoQ dehumidifier.

Dust filter  

• Remove the filter holder.
• Vacuum the dust with a vacuum cleaner. The dust can also be rinsed off with warm water. 
• Dry the filter before reinserting it into the device.   
• Do not expose the filter to sunlight. 

Storage

If you do not intend to use the device for a long period of time, please proceed as follows:

• Switch off the device and unplug the power cord. 
• Leave the device to stand for 6 hours so that any remaining condensation can flow into the container.
• Empty, clean and dry the water tank.  
• Pack or cover the device to protect it from dust and sunlight.
